I have a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix, I am having temperature light problems, as the temperature gauge stopped working so I replaced it. Now even though the Gauge works, the temperature light still flashes and the motor runs rough, The coolant and everything is good. I burped all the air out of the lines. IS there something else I can do that I haven't done already?
There is about 140,000 k on this car

Well Ducky I guess no one is going to reply. I guess either life or the spam thats been hitting the forum has gotten they're interest else were.
Q- Did you loose anti-freeze and/or overheat it?
A- Engine runs rough and light going goofy my guess would be cracked or warped head or bad head gasket.
If none of the above
Q- When was the last time you done a tune up? Plugs Wires Make sure the vacuum lines are good?
A- If 1 plug looks different kinda waxy it's a tell tail sign anti-freeze is getting into that cylinder.
Grand Prix is known for this... If it runs good cold heats up a little more then normal then starts to run rough unplug the MASF (mass air flow censer) while it is running. If it smooths right out and runs good again change the MASF (mass air flow censer) dealer part should be brand new, but all parts store MASF are rebuilt and you may have to return a couple or a few to get a good one. The great cheap Mexico aren't to good with re-building electronics...

No, it doesn't leak coolant, and it hasn't over heated. We just recently replaced the Temperature sensor, as it badly needed replacing, The engine works fine and the light still flashes.. We did a tune up a couple weeks ago. Everything is good.
Will have to try the Mass Air Flow Sensor, see if that is the problem. Other then that, Everything has been Brand new in the front end. Control arms, bushings, everything is brand new lol.. We love our car too much to let it die.

The Mass Air Flow Sensor is fine also... Could there be something else that Stops this 3.8 from not working. I am not sure what else to do.
The car doesn't run that rough, but when the temperature light comes on it shakes a little, then the light will go off, for a little bit and the motor smooths out. Could this be a "power" problem

Weird indeed!
Have you had it coded to see if any codes are stored in it?
